The following pictures come from one of Unihousing’s newly refurbished studios, located only a short walk from the university. This studio is fully furnished with a fitted kitchen including an oven and hob. A desk area is provided so that tenants can complete assignments or revise for their degree. Finally, a bedroom and fitted shower room complete this comfortable yet stylish accommodation.

This modern kitchen is ideal for tenants, providing a nice space to prepare and cook meals. A good kitchen can help incentivize home cooking, which is a boon for the student budget, helping tenants save money and eat a healthy diet. Unihousing provides a microwave oven and worktop hob, alongside quality low noise white goods.

As part of your studio, a desk and chair are provided. This space is designed to help you with your studies, but can also be used to unwind after a busy day of lectures.

Each studio is equipped with a well sized, modern bathroom with a bath or shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rail. This will be a welcome addition for those who disliked the shared bathrooms in halls of residence.

Which properties at Unihousing offer utility bills and high-speed broadband included in the overall rent price?

All of our student studios come with utility bills as well as 100Mb broadband included in the rent price: this only excludes the TV licence for the property. In regards to other types of accommodation such as flats, this will vary and will be explained to you when making an enquiry about said property.

Are there any additional charges, such as a booking fee or administration fees for private student accommodation in Birmingham?

No fees at all are requested upon taking out a tenancy agreement.

Do Unihousing offer student accommodation in Selly Oak for a full academic year?

Most of Unihousing's accommodation is available to rent from July to July or September to September each year. This gives students extra time to move in and move out without having to be concerned over beginning and end of term dates.

What date does Unihousing allow its students to move into their accommodation each year?

This is often subject to the property itself, however the standard date is July 1st. The best way to know for sure however is to ask Unihousing directly or check your tenancy agreement.

‘uni housing’ is an abbreviation for University Housing, and is about the type of housing that students reside in during their time at University. There are many types of accommodation, such as apartments, flats, and student studios.
