£1 Billion Tram Plan for Blues, NEC, HS2 and Birmingham Airport Unveiled that will Change Lives

An ambitious and 'life transforming' £1 billion proposal to finally build a tram line into East Birmingham and on to north Solihull can be revealed today after weeks of high level negotiations.

The new Metro line would whiz passengers out of the city centre through Digbeth to a new £2.9 billion Blues super-stadium and sports quarter in Bordesley Green then continue on to Heartlands Hospital, the NEC, Birmingham Airport and the HS2 interchange and proposed health and science campus at Arden Cross.

Bus Timetable Changes Are Coming Into Effect to Improve Reliability

A series of changes to bus timetables in Birmingham are set to come into effect soon.

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) said it works with operators of bus services to make improvements for passengers and these alterations were part of that.

The changes to a number of services in Birmingham will be put into force and people are urged to check their journeys before travelling to get the most up to date information.
